'Faith is the brainchild of London house stalwarts Terry Farley, Bill Brewster, Leo Elstob, Dave Jarvis and Stuart Patterson. Together the Fatuous Five are responsible for the Faith parties. Having know each other through various vague and possibly illegal connections (the charges were eventually thrown out of court), they came together to A unique concept of club nights and a quarterly fanzine, Faith epitomizes everything that makes the underground music scene so special. The fanzine fuses articles on those who helped shape the music (Levan, Knuckels, Hardy etc.) and those who carry it forward together with humorous cartoons, lists , charts and photo galleries. Originally a fanzine in print, Faith has recently embraced the world wide web and can be found at www.faithfanzine.com.

The Faith parties are something special too. Paying particular attention to detail, the line ups and venues are always first class. Be it a Balearic set from Maurice Fulton, a classic funk selection from Ashley Beadle or a jackin’ acid house mash up from Ralph Lawson, the Faith parties provide sounds for all musical persuasions.

The music comes courtesy of Terry Farley & Stuart Patterson. A 75 minute mix of house gems, both old and new. Stand out cuts include the rare Dimitri From Paris mix of Atmosfear, DJ Pierre’s wild pitch mix of Urban Soul, Cajmere’s demented ‘Midnight’ and Carl Craig’s classic Paperclip People ‘Throw’. Other artists used on the mix include Tiefschwarz, Paul Johnson, Tiga and Switch.

A 64 page Faith booklet accompanies the CD, a ‘best Of Faith fanzine’ if you’d like. The usual fare of intriguing articles, charts and comment are featured in this CD sized reading companion. The addition of a heavyweight booklet will be the first of it’s kind and provide an excellent marriage between the music and the stories of our scene. Articles on Larry Levan, Dr. Bob Jones, Timmy Regisford, Junior Vasquez’s Sound Factory, Daniel Wang, The Blockhead’s Chaz Jankel and DJ Heather are interspersed with charts, cartoons and fashion bits.
