Justin Drake, one half of uber producers Peace Division, lays down a hypnotic club remix of A J Scent’s quirky nu-disko number, ‘Musike’.
Another taster for the forthcoming A J Scent album this September which is proving to be a musical feast!
A J Scent’s Original Mix of Musike has been floating around for some time. Championed by the likes of Ralph Lawson and Mr C from its creation nearly 2 years ago, the twisted nu-disko track still sounds tantalizingly fresh today. Driving drums and an upbeat feel make this one a floor filler. Part Daft Punk, part Cosmos, but with A J Scent’s trademark quirks (including a great spacey electric guitar riff), ‘Musike’ sounds like disco music for martians! Justin Drake’s remix is a hypnotic and percussive club rework. Trademark Peace Division drums shuffle along whilst eerie effects and the twisted vocal hook float over the top. His remix builds solidly and should have those who prefer the deeper and darker sides to house music salivating.
